Rate limits and errors

Rate limits

Limits are listed on each endpoint page. Transform a vehicle allows 200 requests per minute. Exceeding a limit returns 429 Too Many Requests.

Errors

Spyne uses standard HTTP status codes. Each endpoint page lists the errors it can return, with examples.

Status	Meaning	What to do
`400`	Bad Request	The request failed validation, for example no vehicle identifier or an unreachable media URL. Fix the request and retry.
`401`	Unauthorized	API key missing or invalid. Check the `Authorization: Bearer` header.
`403`	Forbidden	Your key is not permitted to perform this action.
`404`	Not Found	The vehicle or resource does not exist for your key.
`429`	Too Many Requests	Rate limit exceeded. Retry after a short wait.
`500`	Internal Server Error	Something failed on Spyne's side. Retry later.
`503`	Service Unavailable	The service is temporarily unavailable. Retry later.

📘
A 206 Partial Content from Transform a vehicle means part or all of the request was rejected, even though the body says "success": true. Treat it as a failure.
